in Shamley Green
Shamley Green with its population of over 2,100, is in the district of Waverley in the county of Surrey. It is situated midway between the county town of Guildford, with its good shopping facilities and the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, and the largest village in England, Cranleigh.
It is a semi rural village, with a wealth of old listed timbered framed buildings and surrounded for the most part by farmland, and the hills of Hascombe and Blackheath.
The B2128 runs through the centre of the village, with the village cricket green and hall on one side and the well looked after duck pond on the other side.
The Church is on a brow of a hill going south out of the villageClick Here for the Parish Profile (PDF Format)
